CHS Presents Disney’s Descendants
Connell High School presents Disney’s movie Descendants November 17-19. The musical is filled with comedy, adventure, Disney characters, and hit songs from the original Descendants movies. The setting is the Isle of the Lost, where Maleficent, the Evil Queen, Jafar, and Cruella De Vil have been banished, along with their teenage children. When the children are sent to a prep school alongside children of Disney heroes, they have a dilemma. Do they continue being wicked or do they learn to be good?
Mrs. Michelle Kester directs an all-star cast including Adrianna Powers (Mal), Kiera Lagunas (Evie), McKay Selbe (Jay), Spencer Harris (Carlos), Joseph Browning (Ben), Maleficent (Lynn Schneider), Ruby Barrera (Audrey), Camden Poulson (Chad), Preston Schwendiman (Doug), Kennadee Nielson (Jane), Riley Haworth (Cruella De Vil), Mae Damico (Evil Queen), Levi Loeber (Jafar), Jeffrey Freeman (King Beast), Molly Hokanson (Queen Belle), Megan Coulsey (Fairy Godmother), Enlee Fleming (Snow White), Mikaydi Hokanson (Royal Page), Kylee Nef (Royal Guard), Mackenzie Pollock (Maurice), and Easton Stoker (Coach), along with the ensemble comprised of Amy Coulsey, Gladys Flores, Hailee Tarvin, Ruby Aquino, Millah Flores, Montserrat Martinez, Ruby Flores, and Reagan Haworth. Mrs. Kester’s drama and stagecraft classes have created the props and decorations used for the musical, and will assist with lights at the performances.
Local elementary schools will attend a dress rehearsal performance this Wednesday, followed by evening performances Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7:00 p.m., with an additional 2:00 p.m. matinee on Saturday. Tickets are on sale in the CHS office and will also be available at the door. The cost is $5 for students and senior citizens, $10 for adults, and $25 for a family. Preschool-age children are free. Descendants is entertainment the whole family will enjoy.
