North Franklin School District is inviting community members, parents, and local stakeholders to apply for seats on a new Community Facilities Task Force (CFTF), a volunteer advisory committee that will help shape the District's long-range facilities plan.

The CFTF will bring together approximately 20 community members and stakeholders alongside representatives from the School Board, faculty and student body to study district facility needs and develop recommendations for the Superintendent and School Board. The Committee's work will draw on the District's grant-funded 2025 Study and Survey facility analysis and will include broad opportunities for input from staff, students, parents, and the wider community throughout the process.

"This is one of the most important planning efforts our district will undertake in years," said Brian Moore, Superintendent of North Franklin School District. "We want voices from every corner of our community to help guide decisions about the future of our schools."

The Task Force's charge is to develop a comprehensive 25-year facility plan that addresses short- and long-term capital needs, learning environment standards, safety, and funding strategies, while capitalizing on the District's existing infrastructure and community investment. The Committee will deliver its final recommendation to the Superintendent and School Board no later than September 1, 2027.

Committee members will be expected to attend monthly evening meetings spanning from August 2026 to August 2027, held on District campuses and lasting approximately two hours. Appointments will be made by the Superintendent, with the Committee itself selecting a chair and vice-chair from among its members once seated.
