North Franklin School District - Focused on Kids and Their Learning

The North Franklin School District is pleased to announce the hiring of Amanda Brown as the new principal of Basin City Elementary.

Ms. Brown is excited and honored to serve as the next principal of Basin City Elementary. She brings a decade of experience in education, with a strong focus on supporting multilingual learners and fostering inclusive, student-centered environments. Her teaching experience includes two years in kindergarten and seven years in a fourth-grade dual language classroom. She currently serves as an English language development and academic support teacher at the middle school level.

In addition to her classroom experience, Ms. Brown brings leadership experience, serving as a summer school principal, leading professional development, supporting curriculum adoption processes, and leading multiple committees at both the building and district levels.

Ms. Brown holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and a Master of Arts in English Language Learner Education from Western Governors University, as well as a principal certificate from WSU Tri-Cities.
