North Franklin School District is pleased to announce that Todd Hausman has been selected as the new principal at Connell Elementary, beginning in the 2025-26 school year.
Mr. Hausman is a dedicated educator and school leader with over two decades of experience in public education. He grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he developed a lifelong
passion for learning and a love for the American West. After graduating high school, Todd earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Oregon before continuing to Western Washington University. There, he earned his teaching certificate and later completed a master’s degree, further deepening his commitment to academic excellence.
Todd spent 17 years as an elementary teacher in the Bellingham and Burlington-Edison Public School Districts, where he was known for his engaging classroom presence, supportive relationships with students, and innovative practices. In 2018, he transitioned into educational leadership and has spent the past seven years as associate principal at Morgen Owings Elementary School in the Lake Chelan School District, where he played a key role in improving school safety, advancing the science of reading, and cultivating a positive school environment.
