The search for North Franklin School District’s next superintendent is underway, with an application deadline of April 17.  The Board of Directors will meet with consultants from Northwest Leadership Associates in executive session during the Regular Board Meeting on Monday, April 22, to review the applications and select candidates for preliminary interviews.  The names of those selected for an interview will be announced after each has been contacted.

The preliminary interviews will be on Saturday, April 27, during a Special Board Meeting open to the public (time TBD).  During the interviews, the public is able to listen and provide feedback through an anonymous feedback form, but they will not be permitted to ask questions.  Following the preliminary interviews, the Board of Directors will go into executive session to select finalists for a second interview.  The finalists will be announced after each has been contacted.

The final interviews will be on Saturday, May 4.  Each finalist will participate in a day-long interview where they will have the opportunity to tour the North Franklin School District and meet with stakeholder groups including students, staff and community members.  Stakeholders will be able to provide feedback through an anonymous feedback form.  A detailed list of stakeholder meetings will be released the week of April 29 when the finalists are announced.  After completion of the final interviews, the Board of Directors will go into executive session to discuss the feedback and qualifications of each finalist.

The Board plans to announce the selection of the new superintendent the week of May 6, with the recommendation to hire being presented for approval at the Regular Board Meeting on Monday, May 13.
