"We're excited to finalize this agreement and offer students a head start on earning their commercial truck driving license," said Keeley Gant, CTE Director for ESD123 serving North Franklin School District. "We are fortunate to create a seamless pathway for students to earn their certification in a low cost, high-quality model that will lead to high wage employment and help address the growing skills gap for qualified drivers."

The program will be available to CHS high school students who are enrolled in the CDL Preparatory class at CHS and who meet the B or better minimum GPA requirement. Upon enrollment at WWCC, students can request the early college credit be added to their transcript and will only need to complete the remaining 6 Truck Driver Training Lab hours as required for final testing and certification.
