A Message from our Superintendent:

On Tuesday, April 30th, right after school released for the day at Connell High School, an anonymous report was made that a student was seen in possession of a weapon on campus during the day. Administration began investigating and contacted the Franklin County Sheriff Department and Connell Police Department for assistance in the investigation as students were no longer in school. Through interviews, the authorities confirmed that one student was in possession of a CO2/air powered pellet gun during school hours on campus. They have detained the student and are in possession of the weapon. Though no threats of harm were made, this is still a violation of law and the student is being held accountable by the authorities. Police and administrators will continue to investigate in order to learn the details of this incident and to maintain and ensure the ongoing safety and security of our students and staff.

Sincerely,
Jim Jacobs
