Dear North Franklin Parents, Students and Community Members:
Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year in the North Franklin School District! As we launch into this exciting year of learning and growth, I want to welcome all of you and let you know that we are excited to have you as part of our school community!
This school year, we are committed to creating an environment that results in academic excellence and social-emotional growth. As public school employees, we believe in the power of love employed in an educational setting. Love, in this context, is not just an emotion that one feels, but a deep commitment to our students' well-being and success, as well as taking positive action on behalf of your children.
As teachers, loving our students means to see each of them as a unique individual, with their own strengths, challenges, and aspirations. It means providing a safe and supportive school where your children are valued, respected, and encouraged to be themselves. It is this kind of love that guides us in understanding and addressing the many and diverse needs of our students, helping them overcome obstacles, and to thrive in both their school and personal life.
As we kick off this new school year, with the spirit of love and compassion in education, we hope to instill in our students the values of kindness, empathy, and understanding, inside of our schools and our buses, as well as on our sports fields and playgrounds. As a unified team of parents, staff, and community members, we can create a nurturing environment where our children can grow into confident, compassionate, and responsible young adults who will make a positive impact on our world.
